Process: The environmental cause i chose to depict within these posters was climate change. The audience i chose to target with the posters was young families with young children. Therefore, i tried to keep the poster simple, something that the young children could understand whilst also connecting with the mature adults.
Reflection: Trying to keep the poster impactful whilst simple was a challenge. I used minimal text in a large font for the most impact. A bright colour scheme could create a contrast between the severity of the matter, while also catching the eye of family members.
Materials: 2B pencil, 125gsm paper.

Process: Following the same processes of the first poster, i tried to make the poster more intricate and straightforward by adding more details about the issue.
Reflection: This poster has a better overall harmony, with less empty space and greater detail in the elements. Once again trying to keep it simple for the families, with the drawings targeted towards the children and the text targeting adults, especially the use of bolded words for greater hiearchy/impact.
Materials: 2B pencil, 125gsm paper.

Process: Once again the same process. I wanted to symbolise the family aspect deeper and create an emotion reaction for the parents more. In which they could create a connection between their family relationship and the polar bears in the poster.
Reflection: I feel this is the better of the three posters as it creates a sadder atmosphere that would affect parents and children in different ways. For the composition however it could be balanced better, with the top and bottom elements being larger and filling the negative space.
Materials: 2B pencil, 125gsm paper.

Process: I chose to develop the third poster idea further. I made the bears larger and used larger font to emphasise the key message of the poster. I used an analogous colour pallet to keep it simple and provide contrast to the white text and bears.
Reflection: Overall, i think this design works well in targeting its audience, with the simple colour scheme and emotional messages of polar bears losing their families due to climate change. However, there is a lot of empty space and the poster could be filled more to be more eye catching. Also brighter colours could help this.
Materials: Watercolour pencils, round brush, 0.1 fine line pen,  125gsm paper.

Process: Using a sourced image of polar bears (natgeo.com), it as edited along with the hands to a oil paint texture. Flames were digitally hand drawn. Used a large text font for the main message and a more flashy font for the smaller text, to create hierarchy and visual appeal.
Reflection: This poster fills in the negatives of the hand drawn poster, however seems to have no unity/harmony. I believe primarily to it not having enough collage elements and the font of the large text not suiting the overall aesthetic. However, if this style was done in the style of the previous poster i believe it could work better together and be more impactful, which i believe it doesn't do very well.
Materials: 2B pencil, 125gsm paper.
Summary
Overall, the posters i designed i believe were able to effectively target the intended audience, young families. With the use of emotional imagery, impactful messages and unified colour pallete the 4th design could peak the interests of young children and also adults. The parents could relate to the loss of family and the children with the loss of parents and the loneliness of the baby bear. However, i feel the final image just doesn't have any visual impact and takes the viewer out of this emotional message/core.
